Yearbook Pictures are Important Because?
There are times in everyone's life that have been caught on camera. Some of the pictures makes one smile or they can bring back painful memories. One of the most trying times for teens comes when it is time for yearbook pictures to be taken.
Teenage years are very memorable for many people. There are clubs that are joined and activities they participate in, bringing them many opportunities to be in the yearbook. Others aren't as social and have to make the best of the few chances to be in the yearbook.
There are so many times that a person's yearbook is looked at, for so many different reasons. This is an album recording one of the most important milestones in people's lives. Yearbook pictures can be seen by anyone, parents and grandparents, future kids and grandkids and even future in laws. Those are some of the reasons a nice yearbook picture should always be taken.
Keys to a Great Picture
Schools normally give a lot of notice as to when individual yearbook pictures will be taken. They are often the same pictures that are taken at the school's picture day. Once the announcement has been made, students should start to think about what their pictures will look like.
Students should plan what they will take their yearbook picture in. It sounds so silly but it can be important. If the student forgets what they want to wear on the day of pictures and goes to school dressed sloppily, the pictures will look sloppy. Is that what people should remember? Students should make sure their appearance is neat and well groomed.
Silly antics should be kept to a minimum. Sticking one's tongue out or crossing the eyes is funny as a teen. But as an adult, those moments can make people cringe in embarrassment. Some photographers won't allow a retake and if there are any regrets, many students is still stuck with that silliness captured as their yearbook pictures.
Smiling is the most underrated thing a person can do to change their appearance. It can make a sullen face appear happy and it conveys a message of pride in themselves. Yearbooks hold pieces of people's history and that shouldn't have a moment of unhappiness that can be relived over and over again. A physical smile will only last a moment but a smiling picture will last forever.
Some teens don't think yearbook pictures are all that important. It can be something looked upon with sorrow or pleasure. Many years from now, friends and classmates still look at their old yearbooks, reminiscing and laughing at pictures. The face that is presented that day will be the same face presented over and over again.
